Staff Software Engineer, New Programs

Hinge Health is building a new Gastrointestinal (GI) Care Program. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead the technical development of an end-to-end digital care experience, from prototyping to launch. You will set technical direction, contribute to production code across the stack (React Native, TypeScript, Go, GraphQL, AWS), mentor engineers, and partner with cross-functional teams. This is a 0-to-1 builder role in a hybrid work environment based in San Francisco.

Minimum 4+ years software engineering experience, including building and shipping user-facing applications. Bachelor's in CS or related field. 2+ years hands-on React Native experience. Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, React Native, modern mobile development. Experience with backend services (Node/TypeScript, GraphQL) a plus. Track record of running experiments (A/B tests). Experience mentoring engineers. Experience in healthcare (HIPAA) or regulated domains preferred.
