The Agent Capabilities team at Perplexity builds the foundations for agentic AI, turning frontier AI breakthroughs into reusable product capabilities. This role involves evaluating frontier models, improving agent planning and tool use, owning agent behavior end-to-end, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Typically 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with AI/ML products. Strong software engineering fundamentals, experience owning AI product lifecycle, practical experience in agent harnesses, tool use, context engineering, model evaluation, or browser automation.
