Member of Technical Staff (Site Reliability Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure)

Perplexity is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to own the production infrastructure behind its consumer, API, and enterprise products. Responsibilities include operating Kubernetes clusters on AWS, designing network architectures, managing storage, automating infrastructure as code, leading incident response, and scaling ahead of demand. The role requires deep AWS and Kubernetes expertise, Terraform mastery, and strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Rust.

Deep AWS expertise (VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS, ELB, Route53, S3, EBS), production Kubernetes at scale (cluster upgrades, CNI, CoreDNS, Karpenter), Terraform mastery, strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, load balancing), programming in Python/Go/Rust, observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana), incident response leadership, and end-to-end ownership.
