Sr. Security Platform Engineer

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is a joint venture seeking a Sr. Security Platform Engineer to drive high-impact security initiatives across the vehicle ecosystem. The role involves end-to-end execution of vehicle security initiatives, threat modeling, designing security features, cross-functional collaboration, and building security platforms and tools. The ideal candidate has experience in product security, embedded security, and programming in Go, Rust, Python, or Java.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in CS or related field, 4+ years experience in product security or embedded security, strong programming in Go, Rust, Python, or Java, understanding of cryptographic principles and secure communication protocols, technical versatility across firmware and full-stack. Preferred: embedded systems development (C/C++), familiarity with secure boot, firmware update, secure storage, experience in regulated industry (automotive, medical, aerospace).
