Software Engineering Intern - Connected Systems (January - August 2027)

This internship involves working on backend services, integration layers, or connectivity infrastructure that keep vehicles communicating with the cloud. Projects may include building backend services for vehicle telemetry and remote commands, developing distributed systems with tools like Kafka and Kinesis, contributing to cross-domain integration validation, and supporting connectivity messaging layers. Design, develop, and test software components within a distributed or connectivity system. Write clean code in Python, Go, C++, or Java. Participate in code reviews and debugging. Contribute to test automation and validation. Document work and present progress. Minimum: enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's at a US university, proficient in Python, Go, C++, or Java. Preferred: Computer Science or related degree, exposure to distributed systems or AWS, familiarity with CAN or MQTT, backend or test
