Product Security Senior IAM Software Engineer

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is a joint venture developing software-defined vehicle technologies. The Product Security team implements security protections. As a Senior IAM Engineer, you will own core components of the identity and authorization platform for vehicles, cloud services, and internal teams, including fine-grained authorization, OAuth2/OIDC, workload identity, and authorization for vehicle operations.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's in CS or equivalent, 5+ years building production backend services. Strong Go with gRPC/REST, protobuf/API design, client SDKs. Hands-on with OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, mTLS, fine-grained authorization (SpiceDB/Zanzibar, OPA, Cedar). Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, SQL datastore. Cross-functional collaboration, delivering platform capabilities. Preferred: SPIFFE/SPIRE, Ory Hydra/Kratos, event streaming, Bazel monorepos, ADR contributions.
