About the role
Docker is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Security for the Docker Desktop team. The role involves embedding security into the development process, writing Go code, performing security reviews, threat modeling, and managing vulnerability intake. The ideal candidate has strong Go skills, deep understanding of Linux container security (namespaces, cgroups, seccomp), and experience with OAuth/OIDC. This is a remote-first position with locations in Canada, US, and Europe.
Requirements
6+ years software engineering with security exposure. Strong Go skills. Deep understanding of Linux container security: namespaces, cgroups, capabilities, seccomp, AppArmor. Familiarity with OCI specs, container runtime internals. Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, token handling. Experience with vulnerability management (CVE triage, CVSS, disclosure). Strong communication skills.
