Picogrid is a defense technology company building infrastructure for national security. As Head of Software, you will lead and scale the software engineering team, working across backend, frontend, and hardware-software integration. You will set team structure, hire, mentor, and ship alongside the team. Collaborate with CTO and other leaders to deliver operational impact for users in the field.

8+ years progressive software engineering experience with hands-on technical lead or director-level role. Expert-level proficiency in backend systems, event-based architecture, distributed architecture, APIs (REST, gRPC, GraphQL), real-time data pipelines, and production operations. Deep familiarity with Go, Python, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, geospatial tooling. Experience leading both backend and frontend development. Proven ability to take products through full lifecycle.
