Principal Engineer, AI/ML Security

The Principal Engineer, AI/ML Security will lead DigitalOcean's AI security strategy, define controls, conduct adversarial testing (jailbreaking, prompt injection), threat model across AI lifecycle, and establish AI risk governance. This role partners with security and engineering teams to secure AI products and represent AI security to executive leadership.

10+ years cybersecurity with 4-5 years AI/ML security; define and drive AI programs; deep knowledge of adversarial ML; ability to translate research; experience with executive communication; Python and Go programming; architecture review; hands-on red team and defensive tooling; degree; fluency in OWASP LLM Top 10, MITRE ATLAS, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, EU AI Act; cloud provider experience; LLM security in production.
