Principal Software Engineer - Parameters & Experimentation

Snowflake's Parameters & Experimentation team builds configuration, feature-flagging, and experimentation infrastructure for the AI Data Cloud. We seek a Principal Software Engineer to architect distributed systems, advance experimentation, and lead AI-first engineering practices. The role involves building scalable services, automated validation, and self-service tools to increase development velocity with safety.

12+ years of software engineering experience with technical leadership in backend/infrastructure initiatives. Deep experience in distributed systems, concurrency, consistency, caching, failure recovery. Proficiency in Java, Go, C++, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). AI-first engineering practice. Ability to turn ambiguous problems into delivered systems. Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills. Degree in CS or equivalent.
