About the role

Slice's Services teams build backend systems, APIs, integrations. The Engineering Manager will own customer outcomes, lead technical direction, build a high-agency team, raise execution standards, and develop people. They will work with Python, Go, Ruby, distributed systems, AWS. The role involves partnering with Product, Design, Data, Operations. The team collaborates across US, Canada, UK, North Macedonia.

Requirements

Experience building and operating customer-facing software or platforms. Experience managing high-performing engineering teams. Strong technical judgment across backend services, APIs, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, production operations. Experience with Python, Go, Ruby. Ability to turn complex problems into clear direction. Founder-minded approach. Clear communication. Low ego, high standards.
