About the role

Heron Power is a startup building power electronics for the grid. As a Staff/Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will set technical direction for the software platform, including factory systems, internal tools, and data infrastructure. You will write production code, design scalable systems, and collaborate with hardware, manufacturing, and operations teams. This is a hands-on, high-leverage role requiring technical leadership and mentorship.

Requirements

Master's in CS or equivalent, 10+ years software engineering experience at Staff/Principal level, expertise in backend services, distributed systems, Go/Python/TypeScript, AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, mentoring. Preferred: manufacturing software, startup experience, SQL, event-driven architectures, Linux.
