About the role
Robinhood seeks a Staff Software Engineer for the Backend Platform team to set technical direction, lead initiatives improving backend development systems, design frameworks, tooling, and shared libraries, and mentor engineers. The role focuses on solving complex system-level challenges and influencing engineering practices across teams.
Requirements
Extensive experience in Go and Python for backend systems, deep knowledge of backend frameworks (Django, gRPC), experience designing internal platforms and developer tooling (Bazel), proven ability to lead complex technical projects and influence engineering direction across teams.
