Software Engineer, Storage

DoorDash Storage team is building a high-performance, scalable data abstraction layer to optimize efficiency and reliability. The role involves building distributed storage systems, control-plane services, caching strategies, and developer-friendly storage platform. Available across two teams: orchestration for databases and streaming systems, and distributed data platform supporting multi-petabyte scale Cassandra. Hybrid position in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Seattle, or New York Metro Area.

Require 2+ years fulltime experience designing, building and maintaining scalable distributed data infrastructure. Proficient in GoLang/Java with expertise in multi-threading, distributed systems. Deep expertise in NoSQL databases (Cassandra, DynamoDB) and caching (Redis, Memcached). Experience building high-scale storage systems with focus on reliability. Expertise in workflow/orchestration engines (Temporal, Cadence, Argo). Must thrive in fast-paced environment.
