Software Engineer, Data Platform

SpaceXSI is building Super Intelligence to help humanity understand the universe. The Data Platform team builds and operates infrastructure for all large-scale data transport and processing across the company, managing core systems including Apache Kafka, HDFS, Spark, Flink, and Trino. As a software engineer, you will design, build, and operate distributed systems powering data movement and compute, handling trillions of events daily, and collaborate with ML, product, and infrastructure teams.

Basic qualifications include production experience with Kafka, Flink, Spark, Trino, or Hadoop. Preferred skills include proficiency in systems languages like Rust, Go, or Scala; expertise in distributed systems and stream processing; strong debugging and performance optimization skills; and a track record of shipping critical infrastructure in fast-paced environments.
