Principal Software Engineer, Full-Stack AI

STLabs is seeking a Principal Software Engineer, Full-Stack AI to own the end-to-end technical vision for AI across the platform. This hands-on role involves architecting production AI systems, building scalable backend and data platforms, and ensuring AI capabilities are observable, trustworthy, and intuitive for enterprise users. The role spans data ingestion, model reasoning, APIs, user interfaces, and operational impact.

10+ years of professional software engineering experience with technical leadership in complex systems. Proven experience architecting distributed systems with AI components. Hands-on with LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, RAG, agent frameworks. Strong system design across APIs, data modeling, event-driven architectures. Proficiency in Go, Rust, Python, Java, or C++. Experience mentoring senior engineers and driving best practices.
