Sr. Software Engineer (Backend)

The Core team builds features and platform capabilities for Pendo's product. As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will own complex problem spaces, drive them forward independently, apply strong engineering judgment, partner with Product and Design, and break large efforts into small shippable increments. This role is based in Raleigh office with hybrid work.

5+ years of software engineering experience delivering customer-facing SaaS features. Ability to break ambiguous work into small increments. Proficiency in backend languages (Go, Java, Python, C++). Deep understanding of scalable web architecture, API design, performance optimization. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), SQL/NoSQL databases, testing, safe deployment patterns, and AI tools. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Bachelor's in CS or equivalent.
