Software Engineer, Infrastructure

The Infrastructure Engineering organization comprises three sub-teams: Core Infrastructure, Infra Platform, and Data Infra. This role is on the Core Infrastructure team, managing infrastructure systems that power Chime (AWS, Networking, Kubernetes, Terraform, Observability). Responsibilities include automating everything, building tools in Ruby on Rails and Go, designing cloud infrastructure with IaC, adopting new technologies, partnering with product engineers, and advocating AI tools.

More than 2 years of cloud and Infrastructure experience; strong development experience in Ruby on Rails and Go; previous DevOps/SRE/ProdEng role supporting customer-facing web services; experience managing Kubernetes clusters; building highly-available public cloud infrastructure; using Terraform; supporting databases, message buses, caching; familiarity with monitoring/logging/observability platforms; positive attitude; experience with AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Datadog, Terraform.
