Senior Software Engineer - Observe by Snowflake, OpenTelemetry

Snowflake is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Observe by Snowflake OpenTelemetry team. The role involves shaping the open-source strategy, designing OTel Collector components, and working on telemetry collection for LLM/AI and Browser RUM. The candidate will collaborate with the OpenTelemetry community and contribute to standards.

5+ years of software engineering experience with OpenTelemetry ecosystem (Collector, SDKs, or instrumentation libraries). Strong Go skills and familiarity with SDK languages (Java, Python, JS/TS, .NET). Deep understanding of OTel architecture. Experience with open-source contributions and cloud-native services. Passion for open-source and observability. Preferred: OTel SIG maintainer, LLM/AI observability, Browser RUM, OTel Collector distribution.
