Software Engineer - Testing Frameworks

Baseten seeks a senior Software Engineer to own the full testing stack for its AI inference platform. Responsibilities include building unit, integration, load, performance, and resilience testing frameworks, designing test infrastructure, and mentoring engineers. The role focuses on creating tooling and standards to ensure correctness and reliability for mission-critical AI workloads.

Strong proficiency in Go and/or Python, deep experience with testing frameworks (pytest, testify, testcontainers), integration test infrastructure for distributed systems, load/performance testing tools (k6, Locust, Vegeta, JMeter, Gatling), Kubernetes/Docker, CI/CD, and a track record of improving testing culture. Must be comfortable with ambiguous, high-impact challenges.
