Machine Learning Engineer, Answers Relevance

Reddit's Answers Relevance team leverages AI to connect people with real-world wisdom. As a Senior or Staff ML Engineer, you'll lead ML projects from idea to production, partnering with Product, Data Science, and Engineering across recommendations, search, messaging, and AI systems. You'll build and improve large-scale ML systems including retrieval, ranking, embeddings, and LLM-powered features, set technical direction, and mentor engineers.

Required qualifications include 4-12 years of experience building and deploying ML systems in production, broad knowledge of ML fundamentals, experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face Transformers, production-quality code in Python (Golang a plus), experience with ML systems like data pipelines, feature engineering, model training and serving, and strong communication skills with a record of delivering product impact.
