Senior Software Engineer, Places and Search

Lyft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Pickup, Places and Search team within the Mapping organization. The role involves building and maintaining the Rider and Driver product for pickup/dropoff experience, supporting Lyft's search system, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless routing and guidance. The team uses map data and signals to create new product experiences.

BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or relevant work experience. 5+ years of software engineering industry experience. Experience designing, debugging and running fault-tolerant, highly available, large-scale distributed systems. Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Experience with databases (relational or NoSQL). Led components from design to launch. Proficiency with Go and Python is a huge plus.
