AI Engineer

CoreWeave is the essential cloud for AI. The Field Engineering organization builds tooling to diagnose customer issues faster. As an AI Engineer, you will design, build, and operate systems used during real customer incidents, balancing deterministic and AI systems. You will own agent logic, retrieval, safeguards, and measurement. This is a full-ownership role: you ship your own services and stay responsible for production behavior, working closely with engineers who use what you build.

3+ years professional software engineering with strong Go or Python. Experience taking AI applications from prototype to production. Hands-on agent patterns: tool/function calling, multi-step orchestration, handling incorrect model output. Building and evaluating retrieval systems. Designing controls for automation (approval steps, idempotency, audit trails). Diagnosing LLM failures, observability (tracing, cost, latency). Kubernetes deployment via CI/CD.
