Senior Software Engineer, Agent Gateway

Okta is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build the Agent Gateway, an identity-aware infrastructure that connects enterprise AI agents to authorized tools and data. The role involves owning features across data and control planes, implementing token exchange, request routing, credential resolution, and policy evaluation. 4+ years building production backend systems, proficiency in Java and/or Go, working knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and OIDC, familiarity with RFC 8693 token exchange a plus. Hands-on experience with service rollouts, feature flags, observability, incident response. Working familiarity with agentic development tools like Claude Code. Clear communication. Nice to haves: experience with MCP servers, agent frameworks, multi-tenant SaaS, identity/authorization services, standards participation, full-stack.
