About the role
Kong is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join its Professional Services team. The role involves working directly with enterprise customers to implement Kong's API and AI connectivity platform, build automation, drive migrations, and solve complex technical challenges. The ideal candidate has strong engineering and customer-facing experience.
Requirements
8+ years in customer-facing engineering or software engineering. Strong experience with API gateways, Kubernetes, cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), programming (Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, Lua), and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm, Ansible). Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. US Citizenship required for government customers.
