Senior ML Software Engineer, Mapping

The Mapping team at Lyft builds a digital representation of the physical world, collecting and serving fresh mapping data with algorithms, models, and map-based experiences. This role involves end-to-end work on detecting environmental changes using input from the Lyft fleet, leveraging machine learning and deep learning at scale on millions of images. The engineer will partner with cross-functional teams to apply ML for business impact, perform data analysis, develop models, write production ML

B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related quantitative fields or equivalent experience. 5+ years of Machine Learning experience. Passion for building impactful ML models with expertise in one or multiple fields. Proficiency in Python, Golang, or other programming language. Excellent communication skills and fluency in English. Strong understanding of ML methodologies including supervised learning, forecasting, recommendation systems, reinforcement learning, and multi-armed bandits.
