Staff Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure Services

The Data Platforms Team seeks a Staff Engineer specializing in data platforms and stream processing to drive technical decision-making, champion event-driven architecture, design and implement data platform infrastructure, develop stream processing architecture, and ensure compliance with data protection standards. The role involves mentoring engineers, establishing data access guidelines, and improving performance, security, and scalability.

15+ years experience in software/infrastructure engineering; understanding of data consistency and concurrency models; familiarity with distributed NewSQL datastores (CockroachDB, TiDB, etc.) and stream processing tools (NATS, Kafka); experience designing and operating these systems at scale; familiarity with Kubernetes; proficiency in Go or Python; Linux and shell scripting skills.
