Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer leading the architecture and implementation of the Libraries Platform at Chainguard, building services, APIs, and automation for secure, reproducible open-source library builds across Java, JavaScript, and Python ecosystems. The role involves designing pipelines for CVE remediation, AI-assisted patching, and operating shared platform services at scale.

3-5 years experience designing infrastructure for language ecosystems or developer platforms, strong proficiency in Go, experience with CI/CD, cloud-native infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, GCP/AWS/Azure), and a track record of building developer tooling and automation. Also requires excellent communication, an ownership mindset, and comfort with SRE/DevOps responsibilities including reliability and observability.
