Senior Platform Engineer (FedD202)

Defense Unicorns seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Navy Delivery team. The role involves helping application teams integrate, package, secure, deploy, and operate software on UDS and Kubernetes. The engineer will work at the intersection of platform engineering, application development, DevOps, and security, collaborating with teams to translate needs into repeatable artifacts. Travel 4-12 times per year.

Professional experience developing, deploying, supporting, or operating production applications or platform environments. Hands-on with cloud-native tech, containers, CI/CD, IaC, or Kubernetes. Strong Linux/Unix skills. Experience with YAML config, security practices. Ability to collaborate and obtain U.S. security clearance and DoD 8570 IAT II certification. Preferred: deep expertise in Kubernetes, GitOps, CI/CD, AWS, Go, etc.
