Define and advance embedded software architectures for Axon's connected device products, including AI-enabled systems with on-device inference and cloud workflows. Lead technical direction for AI capabilities across product lines, partner with research teams, establish standards for reliability and safety, identify risks for AI systems, and provide executive-level mentorship to engineering teams.
Requirements
12+ years of professional software development experience with C/C++, Go, Python; deep expertise in embedded systems architecture, firmware integration, and device-level engineering; experience deploying AI inference workloads on constrained edge platforms (MCUs, SoCs, NPUs); proven experience with ML models at scale including data pipelines and model evaluation; experience with large-scale AI systems like foundation models and LLMs; track record of addressing system-wide challenges in AI and/or
