Senior Software Engineer, Solutions Engineering

Justworks is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Solutions Engineering to lead technical discovery and solutioning for partner integrations, build and maintain developer ecosystem capabilities such as portal experiences, documentation tooling, SDKs, and sample apps, and improve developer self-service. The role involves working with APIs, OAuth, webhooks, and mentoring teammates. The position is hybrid based in New York City.

5+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems. Strong experience with HTTP APIs, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, API authentication, webhooks, pagination, rate limits, error handling. Experience with backend/full-stack development in TypeScript, Go, Ruby, or Python. Experience designing reliable integration behavior: retries, idempotency, asynchronous workflows, data contracts, monitoring. Clear technical writing and collaboration skills.
