Senior Software Engineer, Platform Reliability

As a Senior Platform Reliability Engineer at Asana, you will design and build core platform systems such as load shedding, rate limiting, circuit breakers, and traffic controls to protect Asana's platform under real-world load. You will own critical infrastructure concerns like ingress and egress, define stable interfaces, lead end-to-end projects, and collaborate with other platform teams to embed reliability into the architecture. The role is based in Warsaw with a hybrid schedule.

Strong software engineering background with 7+ years building backend systems at scale. Familiarity with distributed systems patterns (backpressure, graceful degradation, capacity planning). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Terraform, monitoring tools like Datadog. Experience defining reliability and performance targets. Clear communicator and collaborator. Curiosity about AI tools. The role is a software engineering role, not primarily scripting or operations.
