Tech Lead, Platform Reliability Engineering

Asana seeks a Tech Lead for Platform Reliability Engineering to own technical direction, lead complex projects, and build core platform systems like load shedding, rate limiting, circuit breakers, and traffic controls. Strong software engineering background with 8+ years building and operating backend systems at scale. Experience leading technical projects and influencing direction across teams. Familiarity with distributed systems patterns like backpressure, graceful degradation, and capacity planning. Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Terraform, and monitoring tooling like Datadog. Clear communicator and strong collaborator. Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies. This is a
