Tech Lead, Platform Reliability Engineering

Asana is hiring a Tech Lead for Platform Reliability Engineering to own technical direction, architecture, and execution. The role involves designing and building core platform systems (load shedding, rate limiting, circuit breakers) to ensure reliability at scale. The team uses AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and various programming languages. The position is based in Warsaw with a hybrid schedule. Asana is a collaboration platform for teams.

8+ years of experience building and operating backend systems at scale, strong software engineering fundamentals, experience leading technical projects and influencing direction across teams, familiarity with distributed systems patterns (backpressure, graceful degradation, capacity planning), experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Terraform, and monitoring tools (Datadog). Clear communicator and collaborator, curious about AI tools.
