Engineering Manager - Finance & Supply Chain Engineering

Block seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a team building the next generation of financial and supply chain infrastructure across Square, Cash App, TIDAL, and Proto. The role involves managing engineers, shaping a greenfield platform, building intelligent agentic systems, setting technical direction, and partnering cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Compliance, Product, and Operations stakeholders. The manager will foster team culture and engineering practices.

Minimum 12+ years of software engineering experience including 4+ years leading or managing engineers. Must have strong technical judgment, experience with distributed systems, data-intensive applications, automation platforms, and interest in building intelligent or agentic systems. Experience partnering with non-technical stakeholders and delivering reliable production systems. Strong communication skills, comfort in ambiguous domains, and desire to build healthy teams and grow engineers.
