Security Engineer Business Continuity & Risk

Block's Square Financial Services seeks a Security Engineer to own third-party risk and business continuity programs, building data pipelines, integrations, and agentic AI workflows that automate governance processes. The role involves implementing policy-as-code, continuous control monitoring, and working cross-team to turn manual processes into products. This is an early-stage program requiring both problem framing and problem solving.

4+ years building production software in backend, platform, data, or software engineering. Third-party risk management and business continuity experience required. Proficiency in at least one of Python, Kotlin, Java, or Go. Hands-on experience with LLMs (prompting, tool use, agents). Familiarity with integration patterns: REST APIs, webhooks, event-driven architectures. Experience pulling and normalizing data from multiple sources. Nice-to-have: knowledge of PCI DSS, SOX, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST.
