Application Security Engineer II

Abnormal AI seeks an Application Security Engineer II to secure AI-powered systems on AWS, focusing on LLM integrations, agentic workflows, and model supply chain. The role involves threat modeling, security architecture reviews, building security tooling for CI/CD, automated testing, incident response, and coaching developers on secure coding for AI-native systems.

5+ years in application security engineering, ideally in AWS cloud-native environments. Experience securing AI/ML systems or ability to ramp fast on prompt injection, model supply chain, agentic risks. Strong programming in Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript. Expertise in web app security (OWASP Top 10, auth, crypto, secure API design), microservices, containers. Hands-on threat modeling and security architecture reviews. Ability to influence cross-functionally.
