Platform Engineer

E2B, a Series A startup with $37M funding, is building the Agent Cloud for AI software. The Platform Engineer will design a distributed system for billions of AI agents, create an orchestrator for sandbox placement, implement live migrations, maintain sub-200ms sandbox startup, scale to billions of concurrent sandboxes, and develop kernel-level observability. The role involves working with Firecracker, eBPF, UFFD, and more.

5+ years building distributed systems at scale (100K+ RPS, multi-region, PB-scale). Deep Linux internals (eBPF, CPU scheduling, memory management, cgroups v1/v2). VM hypervisor experience (Firecracker, QEMU, KVM, virtio). Systems programming in Go, Rust, or C/C++. Production orchestration (Kubernetes, Nomad, bin-packing, resource scheduling).
