Application Software Engineer, Inference

SpaceX seeks an Application Software Engineer to design and optimize large-scale AI inference systems for mission-critical applications. The role involves developing high-throughput inference systems, scalable distributed infrastructure, low-level GPU optimizations, and reliable serving systems. The engineer will own end-to-end components and collaborate with xAI teams. The position is onsite in Palo Alto.

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or 2+ years of professional experience. Must have experience designing scalable distributed systems, 1+ years in full stack/backend development, and 1+ years with Rust or C++. Preferred experience with LLM inference engines, GPU programming, Kubernetes, Docker, and related technologies. Must be eligible for ITAR (U.S. person). Onsite requirement.
