Senior Developer Advocate

Viam is a robotics engineering platform founded by Eliot Horowitz. We are looking for a Senior Developer Advocate to grow the developer community and drive platform activation. Responsibilities include building creative robotics projects, creating technical content (tutorials, videos, talks), representing Viam at conferences and events, and engaging with developer communities. Prior professional robotics experience is not required, but excitement for hardware is needed.

Experience as a software engineer building production software (Python, Go, C++, TypeScript). Strong technical judgment and ability to scope and iterate independently. Track record of creating high-quality technical content (tutorials, videos, workshops). Hands-on experience with hardware, IoT, or embedded systems. Ability to explain complex concepts clearly. Understanding of developer adoption. Comfort speaking publicly and traveling.
