Software Engineer, Autonomy

Swarm Aero is building the largest swarming UAV network. We're looking for a Software Engineer, Autonomy to own the autonomy stack (perception, planning, control) for our drone swarm, scaling it onto our own aircraft. This role involves architectural direction, hardening communication protocols, mentoring engineers, and fielding the system. Travel up to 25% for test events.

Basic: Bachelor's in CS/robotics, 5+ years deploying autonomy software, architecture ownership for shipped autonomous system, deep expertise in C/C++/Rust/Go, experience with vision-language-action models, trajectory optimization, sensor fusion, multi-agent coordination. Preferred: multi-agent/swarm systems, robotics middleware (DDS/ROS2), government UxS standards, tech lead experience. Must be eligible for U.S. Secret clearance.
