Software Engineer, Real-Time Systems (Early Career)

Swarm Aero is building the largest swarming UAV network and a Command & Control platform called Legion. This role is for an early-career Software Engineer on the Real-Time Systems team, working on the C2 system that directs swarms of heterogeneous aircraft. Responsibilities include building features, working on distributed state under unreliable networks, prototyping new control interfaces, and shipping end-to-end. The work involves real-time systems, networking, and cross-stack development.

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent depth. Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, networking, systems. Evidence of building something hard (e.g., renderer, compiler, game, robotics). Comfort writing code at multiple layers. Willingness to work on unknown problems. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance. ITAR compliance: must be U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual.
