About the role
Robinhood is building a platform for the largest transfer of wealth, working with the government on Trump Accounts. The Staff Backend Engineer will lead backend architecture for a 0-to-1 initiative, designing secure data pipelines and APIs to integrate with government systems. This role is high-visibility, high-impact, based in NYC with hybrid work.
Requirements
8+ years software engineering with staff-level experience, mastery in Python/Go, microservices, zero-to-one product development, mentoring senior engineers, and exceptional communication with stakeholders. Deep expertise in high-throughput, low-latency distributed infrastructure, domain modeling, and building reliable APIs. Experience navigating technical ambiguity and setting foundational patterns.
