Sr Architect - Emerging Technologies

Twilio is seeking a Senior Architect for its Emerging Technologies Experimentation Team. The role involves architecting and prototyping scalable solutions using modern technologies, experimenting with AI and machine learning, leading technical direction, mentoring engineers, and partnering cross-functionally. The team works on Horizon-3 initiatives like Ola and Agent-to-Human protocol. The role is remote in the US with ~5% travel.

Required: 15+ years in architecture/principal engineering, fraud detection and governance experience, AI/ML/LLMs, large-scale architectures on AWS & Azure, leadership, mentoring, communication, multiple programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Java, Go), front-end (React, Angular) and back-end (Node.js, Spring, SpringBoot), SQL and NoSQL databases. Desired: open source, rapid prototyping, distributed systems, risk management, global teams, entrepreneurial mindset.
