Senior Software Engineer, Backend Systems

We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design and build the services at the heart of the Distributed Spectrum platform. The role involves ingesting spectrum data, orchestrating ML inference, and powering autonomous agents. You will define how the backend evolves into an agent-native system where models, tools, and workflows are first-class citizens. Responsibilities include designing reliable backend services, architecting the agent layer, owning ML inference architecture, defining service boundaries and API standards, building for production, partnering with ML researchers, leading design reviews, and mentoring engineers.

4–6+ years of professional software engineering experience building and running backend/distributed systems in production. Strong proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, or similar systems-capable language. Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure. Experience building or integrating LLM/agent systems. Experience serving ML models in production. Deep understanding of APIs, async processing, message queues/streaming, and data consistency. Track record of owning systems end to end and making architecture decisions.
