Staff Backend Engineer

Coupang's platform engineers build and scale core infrastructure powering services. As a Staff Engineer, you will lead the evolution of the Kubernetes platform, drive the technical roadmap for container orchestration, collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize infrastructure, and mentor engineers. The role requires designing scalable services, ensuring global reliability, security, and efficiency, and acting as a strategic technical authority.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field; 5+ years software development; proficiency in C++/Java or Golang; backend and distributed systems expertise. Preferred: experience with Golang, multi-cluster Kubernetes, solving complex architectural problems, and goal-setting.
