Senior Software Engineer, Marketing Platform Tooling

Instacart is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Marketing Platform Tooling team. This role involves building core backend systems that power marketing capabilities, including a targeting platform and CRM messaging platform. Responsibilities include data ingestion pipelines, segment evaluation services, and building scalable distributed systems. The role is remote within Canada (ON, AB, BC, NS only).

5+ years backend development experience, expertise in Ruby and Go, understanding of Rails or Pandas, experience with scalable distributed systems and data pipelines (batch/streaming), proficiency in unit testing, excellent communication skills, and a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent.
