Senior Software Engineer II

Samsara is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to build AI-powered products for physical operations. The role involves taking ownership of technically complex areas, defining technical strategy, designing and shipping full-stack features, and partnering with product teams. The engineer will work on zero-to-one products at billion-dollar scale, impacting industries like agriculture, construction, transportation, and manufacturing. The role is remote within the US.

Minimum: Bachelor's in CS or equivalent, 8+ years software design and development experience, strong full-stack fundamentals (Go, Python, TypeScript/React), experience leading cross-team projects, building AI-powered or data-driven products. Ideal: experience shipping AI features in production, comfort with AI-augmented workflows, background with operational data, mentoring senior engineers. The role requires strong communication and a track record of building zero-to-one products.
