Senior Software Engineer, SQL Engines

The SQL Engines team at MongoDB is seeking a Senior Engineer to build the future of the MongoDB SQL Interface, bridging MongoDB's document data model with SQL-based tools. Responsibilities include designing and optimizing SQL tools, collaborating with product managers, and ensuring performance and scalability. The role involves working with query languages and database systems to enable users to query and analyze MongoDB data using SQL.

5+ years of software engineering experience with backend systems and database technologies. Proficiency in at least one compiled language (Rust, Java, Go). Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design. Interest in database query engines and SQL query execution/optimization. Familiarity with MongoDB or non-relational databases is a plus. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
