Technical Manager — Networking & DNS Infrastructure

BlueCat seeks a Technical Manager to lead the DNS Resolver engineering team, developing a high-performance DNS server in Rust with AWS, Azure, GCP integrations. The role involves mentoring developers from junior to staff, participating in architecture and design, and migrating cloud management services onto the Horizon platform.

7+ years software development experience, including systems/networking/distributed systems. Experience managing software developers. Expertise in Rust (preferred), Java, or Go; Docker; REST APIs; concurrent performance-sensitive software. Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP/S). Experience with DNS, Kubernetes, AWS preferred. Strong communication skills.
