Senior Recommendation Engineer

Build and own recommendation and ranking systems for feed surfaces, from candidate generation through online experimentation and monitoring. Design the event-triggered engagement engine with the messaging platform team. Build customer-to-professional matching with explicit fairness and exposure constraints. Define evaluation frameworks that treat downstream outcomes and negative signals as first-class objectives. Contribute learnings to pricing and intent models.

5+ years ML/software engineering including 3+ years shipping recommendation/ranking systems in production. Built ranking system at consumer scale (millions of users). Substantial online experimentation experience. Deployed uplift/causal model in production. Strong Python plus Java/Scala/Go. Ability to explain modeling decisions to stakeholders. Preferred: feed/notification ranking, two-sided marketplace matching, low-frequency high-consequence domains, publications.
